The Energy Lift will be at the 2009 General Convention as a sweet tasting reminder of the Ministry of the Printed Word.

Church Periodical Club volunteers, since 1976, have been distributing candy to bishops, deputies and ECW delegates as an afternoon pickup or “energy lift”. The tradition now includes enough printed information to tell the CPC story and ask for spiritual and physical support in its efforts to continue this volunteer ministry.

Debbie Ventura, diocesan director of West Virginia, is chairman of the program this year and needs financial support to cover the cost of the candy and related expenses. Checks may be sent to:
